Could someone please give step by step instructions how to upgrade Drupal 7.12-1 (Bitnami) to the new version 7.14.0 (Bitnami) on an existing and functioning Bitnami Cloud Hosting with Bitnami's (Drupal, Joomla, WordPressMultisite and Moodle). How to save existing data etc.?. We have not used Drush until now, nor is Drupal (with Drush) installed on our Desktop PC neither do we know how to "load the right environment" (all of this mentioned in http://blog.bitnami.org/2012/04/managing-your-bitnami-drupal.html explaining "Managing your BitNami Drupal installation with Drush"). Or do we just surf to Drupal.org download the latest tar.gz there to our Desktop PC and try installing (read: "copy the files") with a FTP client like Filezilla in the existing /opt/bitnami/apps/drupal/ folder? I have also posted on this Wiki a question on "How to install a second Drupal distribution (Drupal 6 - Tattler) alongside an existing Drupal (7) Bitnami Cloud" which also explains how to resolve various user/groups and file / folder permission problems) ?
LATEST ADD to THIS QUESTION. I have decided to "raise the white flag" and completely "delete" my Bitnami Instance and rebuild with the latest Bitnami Image and Bitnami Applications !
Thank you!
P.S. I should have found and read the following Bitnami Wiki earlier with clear instructions on upgrading Drupal:
