My micro aws instance is running out of memory for my website help!!

I have a micro instance for my website which has approx 700mb of memory and 10gb of storage. Whenever I post a picture or a video on my site, it obviously uses memory. This brings me to the question:

1. When I get to the point where I have used up more than 90% of my memory how do I migrate that instance to another instance that has more memory??

or

1. In order to save memory, should I just delete the post for new incoming if that problem ever arises?

I was really hoping to migrate the micro instance to a new instance that supports more memory. If anyone knows how I can do this and keep all my wordpress themes and settings I would be grateful.
