bitnami ami - how to scale bitnami image database?

Hi,

i have installed bitnami SOLR ami, this works fine.

i have a php project running on amazon elastic beanstalk. this make this php project scalable.

the problem right now is how do i add scalability to the SOLR AMI? im guessing this is the same for any DB ami. if i understand correctly the ami is running on ec2 instance.
