I have download ubuntu LAMP and node.js stacks for VMWare to my mac. I am able to ssh with no problem (did not generate private key, this is my dev environment, all running on the same physical hardware.) I also installed vsftpd, started service with no problem at all. Unfortunately, I still cannot FTP using simple ftp <ip-address from="" ifconfig=""> command, ftp command times out.
I also noticed that updateip command nowhere to be found, i think this is somehow related to updateip command.
Any idea?
