Support for $HOME/.my.cnf in Bitnami's MySQL

Hi,

I tried to a user name and password for the mysql client in $HOME/.my.cnf. However, at least for me, the Bitnami mysql client doesn't seem to pick up any configuration option from that file (I'm running a Redmine stack on AWS)

Is that on purpose, or is it more likely that I'm making some stupid mistake continuously?
