I am trying to install the OSQA stack (bitnami-osqa-1.0rc-1-windows-installer) on Windows 7 and it is failing about half way through with the error:
There has been an error. Error running initdb.exe -U postgres -E UTF8 -D C:/Users/..../Bitnami/POSTGR~1/data: child killed: unknown signal The application will exit now.
I am running Windows 7 sp1 that is joined to a domain. It currently has IIS, MySQL, Avast antivirus. I ran the installer as admin, installed in my user directory, and turned off the antivirus but the install still failed.
The Bitnami folder has these folders installed after it quits
apache2 licenses rollbackBackupDirectory sqlite
Does anyone have suggestions as to how to proceed to debug? I am not familiar with Postgres at all.
