Future Deployment

Hello everyone !

This is a question that could give useful answer to people who want to do more than just host a CMS based website on a AWS instance.

My question is about "file management" with ownCloud and "Cache" via high quality CMS : I want to know if there could be any compatibility issue.

I run the "LAMPStack" with two Joomla sites on a AWS small 64bit instance. Actually everything is fine, but I'm thinking about the the future... So I can be ready when I'll need better performances, maybe next year. The docs said that the populars Varnish and Memcache (natively supported by Joomla 3.0) are installed as additional components, and I think it's super awesome (even if I have no idea how they work :)

Now, for the ease of use I want to install ownCloud in his own folder in /opt/bitnami/apps/... : to manage everything from a different website. Using what ownCloud call "Local Filesystem" (the doc about how to configure it is pretty poor), I could include or exclude a group of users from accessing a particular folder... I think.

The Joomla sites wouldn't be in a subfolder of ownCloud so people can't access them via "http://cloud1.mysite.com/joomla3" or "http://cloud1.mysite.com/WordPress" for example.

The question is : Will Varnish (or Memcache) affect the ownCloud that manage all the back office ? Even if ownCloud use a different URL ?

Thanks in advance. I'll love to hear about experienced users.
