Hi Everyone,
Recently my supervisor decided to migrate our website from his home server to the Amazon cloud. We are using the Bitnami Wordpress stack. I must say this is all very confusing to me. I'm an intern trying to learn as much as I can, but this is a bit overwhelming.
Anyway, we were able to get the site up and running, and it looks very similar to the old site. I have a few things I need to tweak, but it's pretty much ready to go. I've come to realize that all of our user logins aren't on the new site. No one will be able to log in and download our product until I get their IDs working again. I'm able to download the backup from the old site, but I need some help figuring out how to get them on the new site.
I use Cyberduck (on Mac OSX) to access all of the content, but I think I need to be using phpMyAdmin. The problem is I can't figure out how to get it working on this new Bitnami/Amazon thing. I tried installing the Bitnami stack/application thing on the home server where all of the content is sitting for the old site, but that didn't seem to work. When I tried opening it, it just clocked and would not open.
Can someone point me to some easy to understand material or at least tell me in a few simple steps what needs to happen to get my users' data uploaded to our new site?
Thanks!
