I read that you don´t install the sample data because most of the users want a clean installation, but can you consider have one version with the sample data installed?
While you may feel that spending time deleting the sample data is a worse prospect than not starting with it in the first place, it is not difficult to cleanse a Magento install of the sample data when you're ready to do so. It takes about five minutes or less, and the benefit you get from having the sample data installed greatly outweighs the inconvenience.
