Troubleshooting info:
- Instance name: pgh311
- OS: Ubuntu Linux 12.04.2 LTS 64-bit
- Server Location: US East Coast (Virginia)
- Public DNS: http://api-311pgh.bitnamiapp.com/
I've been trying to deploy on my instance for a couple days now and seem to be hitting a wall. I have tried:
uploading my .WAR file to the htdocs directory of Apache2, I did see that resulted in a directory of the same name being created, but going to [public_DNS]/test/Test.html results in a not found.
copying the file to the "htdocs" shortcut in home/bitnami but this results in the same directory being created in the opt/bitnami-tomcat directory and the same error page when attempting to go to the URL.
I am unable to access the Apache manager on my instance, so I can't try that When I click on "Access My Applications", there is nothing on [public_DNS]/applications.html other than the words "Installed Applications"
When I attempt to set up an SSH tunnel as described here, I can make the connection via winscp but connecting to localhost via the browser, I get an error stating chrome can't connect to the address.
I've also tried following the directions here, but to no avail.
The most perplexing part is that if I copy the .WAR to the webapps directory of apache-tomcat on the localhost of the bitnami server I'm running, the URL host/test/Test.html works as expected. Given that, I have to assume my configuration of the cloud server is incorrect. But I haven't adjusted it. I've also started a new instance and still experience the same behavior.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and please let me know if I've left anything out.
