reconfigure keyboard layout: LAMP-Stack VMWare

Hi,

i like to reconfigure the keyboard layout. dpkg-reconfigure console-data => will correct the layout, but only until I restart.

sudo dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration => wont work: iconv: error while loading shared libraries: libiconv.so.2 cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory

Any suggestions?
